Tomorrow, June 9th is the expected due date for Maple to have her pups. Sadly, Maple is not showing any of the normal signs of eminent labor. Normally, our dogs begin to search for or hang out in a nice safe spot where they figure is a nice spot to have their pups. Anything from a hollow stump to an isolated corner of a shed seems to work for them.

Often, when we notice this activity, a kiddie pool is set up inside for them to have their pups. They seem content to just hang out and wait for their pups to arrive. Nothing like this is going as planned this time and consequently, Maple most likely did not take this time around.

We hate to have to share this bad news and disappoint those who have been waiting for a pup. The good news is, if you are on our list, you may remain on it in the position you are or choose to be removed. Please do let us know your desires so we can keep you informed on future litters.
