The kids insisted on naming Frosty even though we had another dog named Misty at the time. I did not like how similar these names were because dogs are like people. People do not always pay attention and neither do dogs.

Dogs probably do pay more attention than people, even so, I did not want these dogs hearing the …sty and being confused. Consequently, Frosty’s official name on her AKC paperwork Farnell’s Aspen. I am not sure how I came up with this name since aspen trees are not common in this area. I suppose it really does not matter much as she still goes by Frosty.

Frosty is a nice easy going girl. She is always by my side when I am doing the morning chores. She definitely looks to me when meeting strangers. She is a bit weary at first but usually warms up to people once she gets to know them. Always protective of her kids and ours, she usually has free roam of our people own.
